India and Cambodia held the third meeting of their Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment (JWGTI) in Phnom Penh on Monday (24 August 2026), the mechanism having first met virtually in 2022 and then in New Delhi in 2024. The two sides discussed a proposed Bilateral Investment Treaty, cooperation in traditional medicine and e-governance, and diversification of the trade basket through new products. Bilateral trade between India and Cambodia grew over 36 per cent year on year to reach USD 406.78 million in 2025 to 2026.
