Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, addressing a startup roundtable in Tokyo on 26 August 2026, proposed an India-Japan startup pitching series modelled on the Shark Tank format to connect young startups from both countries with investors and business partners, suggesting such sessions could be organised virtually using digital connectivity.
