Medium · Logical and rational corollary
Pastoralist herders across the world, including in India, have contributed little to human-induced climate change, yet they are on the frontline in coping with its effects. Herders can no longer rely on historical grazing patterns, and more frequent and extreme weather events, such as droughts and unseasonal rain, can spell disaster for their livestock. There are new threats too, such as shrinking common grazing lands and the loss of traditional migration routes. How significant are pastoralist herds? As many as one billion people worldwide depend on livestock herding for their food and livelihood. Pastoralist communities in India manage a significant share of the country's livestock wealth, contributing to local and national food security.
What is the most logical and rational corollary to the above passage?
