A doctor working from a single blood test and a two-line history is guessing. A doctor handed four hundred pages of readings from a wearable, most of them within the normal range and none of them ordered with a question in mind, is also guessing, and now has to spend the consultation deciding what to ignore. More data helps only up to the point where the reader can still hold it, and past that point the effort shifts from judging the evidence to sorting it. The difficulty at the two ends looks different and is really the same difficulty: the evidence in front of the reader is not in a shape that supports a decision.
