Easy · Passage: assumption validity

Read the following passage and answer the item that follows. Your answer to this item should be based on the passage only.

In our country, regrettably, training for certification has been our forte, but the new demands of industry and the future of work require adaptable and practical skills, learning through doing, applying knowledge across multiple trades on the same job, and problem-solving under real constraints. Vocational institutions should not either be a mere extension of theoretical classroom teaching or a passive follower of outdated curricula. Skilling is all about how to adapt rather than what to memorise. Training has to be re-invented.

With reference to the above passage, the following assumptions have been made:

1. Vocational training is a constantly evolving field that needs to align towards new developments in industry.

2. In our country, sufficient funds are not allocated for promoting vocational training.

Which of the above assumptions is/are valid?
