Read the following passage and answer the item that follows. Your answer to this item should be based on the passage only.
Regenerative farming aims to rebuild the health of the soil itself, treating fertility as something to be continuously restored rather than steadily drawn down. Practices under this approach avoid leaving soil exposed and bare between crop cycles, favour minimal mechanical disturbance of the soil structure, and encourage a wide variety of plant types growing together or in close rotation, since diverse root systems and residues feed a more diverse and resilient soil microbial community than any single crop can.
Consider the following practices:
1. Continuous monocropping of a single high-yield variety
2. Cover cropping between main crop cycles
3. Deep ploughing before every planting
4. Crop rotation across multiple plant families
5. Intercropping legumes with cereals
Which of the above practices are compatible with regenerative farming, as implied by the passage?
