Read the following passage and answer the question that follows. Your answer should be based on the passage only.
A single figure for economic growth is an aggregate across different sectors, the pace of expansion differs for different sectors of the economy. So the single figure is arrived at by assigning weights to different sectors. For output-weighted growth, the weights used are each sector's share of gross value added; for employment-weighted growth, the share of jobs is used instead. But sectors do not grow uniformly. Growth in agriculture, industry and services can be very different from one another. Hence, a composite growth figure requires averaging across sectors that may be moving in very different directions.
