Consider the following statements regarding the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India:
1. The Comptroller and Auditor-General can be removed from office only in the manner and on the grounds on which a Judge of the Supreme Court can be removed.
2. After ceasing to hold office, the Comptroller and Auditor-General is not eligible for further office under the Government of India, but may hold office under the Government of a State.
3. The Comptroller and Auditor-General makes and subscribes an oath or affirmation before the President, or a person appointed by the President in that behalf, in the form set out in the Third Schedule.
